Position overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Biller to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in the CMS 1500 form, online claim submission, insurance billing processes, and HIPAA guidelines. This individual will be responsible for managing account payments, ensuring accuracy, and following up on unpaid claims in a timely manner.

Position overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Biller to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in the CMS 1500 form, online claim submission, insurance billing processes, and HIPAA guidelines. This individual will be responsible for managing account payments, ensuring accuracy, and following up on unpaid claims in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Have a solid understanding of the CMS 1500 form and its accurate completion for insurance billing.
- Responsible for posting and managing account payments, including reviewing and processing payments for accuracy.
- Review bills for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all necessary information is included. Obtain missing information as needed.
- Follow up on unpaid claims within the standard billing cycle timeframe, ensuring timely resolution of any outstanding issues.
- Ensure all insurance payments are accurate and compliant with the insurance contract terms.
- Understand the entire medical billing process, including insurance rules and regulations, and be able to enforce and abide by policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree.
- At least 3 years of experience with medical billing software and online claim submission tools.
- Proven experience in medical billing, with a deep understanding of CMS 1500 forms.
- Knowledge of insurance claim processes, including online claim submissions and follow-up.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Certification in medical billing and coding (e.g., CPC, CBCS) is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
