Position Overview:
We are looking for Backend Engineers (Freshers & Experienced) to develop secure, scalable, and high-performance backend systems for our healthcare applications. The ideal candidate should have strong programming fundamentals and a passion for building reliable server-side applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications, services, and RESTful APIs.
- Build scalable and secure APIs and, where applicable, microservices.
- Develop and optimize SQL/NoSQL databases, queries, schemas, and data access layers.
- Implement business logic and backend workflows for healthcare applications.
- Integrate third-party services, APIs, payment gateways, healthcare services, and other external systems.
- Ensure backend applications meet requirements for security, performance, scalability, reliability, and data integrity.
- Implement appropriate authentication, authorization, validation, error handling, and logging.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and product teams.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application and production issues.
- Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews and follow software development and coding best practices.
- Develop and maintain unit and integration tests.
- Optimize application performance, database queries, and API response times.
- Maintain technical documentation, API documentation, and system-related documentation.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- For experienced engineers, contribute to backend architecture, technical design, scalability, and technical decision-making.
Requirements:
For Freshers
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong programming fundamentals in at least one backend language such as:
- Java
- C# / .NET
- Python
- Node.js / JavaScript
- PHP, if applicable to your technology stack
- Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and common programming concepts.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and HTTP/HTTPS.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
- Understanding of database tables, relationships, joins, indexes, and basic query optimization.
- Basic knowledge of Git and version control.
- Understanding of SDLC and software development practices.
- Basic understanding of authentication, authorization, and application security is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Docker and cloud platforms is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Candidates with academic projects, internships, GitHub projects, or personal backend projects are encouraged to apply.
For Experienced Candidates
- 2–6 years of hands-on backend development experience.
- Strong programming experience in one or more backend technologies such as Java, C#/.NET, Python, Node.js, or PHP.
- Strong experience developing and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Good understanding of backend architecture, application design, and software development patterns.
- Strong experience with SQL databases and database design.
- Experience with SQL query optimization, indexing, transactions, and database performance tuning.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and external services.
- Experience implementing authentication, authorization, validation, logging, and error handling.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests.
- Experience with Git and Agile/Scrum development practices.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
- Good understanding of application security and secure coding practices.
- Experience with Docker and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- Testing: JUnit / NUnit / pytest / Jest or similar frameworks
- Version Control: Git / GitHub / GitLab
- Containers: Docker
- Cloud: AWS / Azure / GCP
- Caching: Redis or similar technologies
- Messaging: RabbitMQ / Kafka or similar technologies
- Architecture: Microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architecture
- Security: OAuth 2.0 / JWT / RBAC / secure API development
- API Documentation: Swagger / OpenAPI
- Familiarity with healthcare applications, EHR/EMR systems, medical billing, insurance, or healthcare workflows is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7/FHIR is an added advantage.
- Experience working with applications requiring strong data privacy, security, and reliability is a plus.
